Bermuda Chaplain’s Group is on a Mission
Hamilton, Bermuda – If you’re seeking a licensed Chaplain in Bermuda, Bermuda Chaplain’s Group has successfully licensed 70 Bermudian chaplains. Due to the overwhelming increase in traumatic events including gang activities and road fatalities, Director Dr. Althea Winifred, Regional Vice Chancellor wants to ensure Bermuda is equipped with skilled chaplains who are ready to help their communities.
“We firmly believe it is time to take back our Nation’s streets; take our communities back in addition to providing services to all people no matter what. We believe that we’re knitted together and now ready for assignments to minister, help, listen and pray for and with the citizens and visitors of the Nation of Bermuda” said Chaplain Althea. Bermuda Chaplain’s Group was established in October 2014 and has seen increased growth over the past several years. The local organization received accreditation to license Chaplain’s from CICA-International University and Seminary, an overseas based university that is accredited by Evangelical Order of Certified Pastoral Counselors of America (EOCPC). The motto of CICA-International is “Equipping Believers Across the Globe to become Marketplace Ministers of the Gospel”. EOCPC is a Federal Chartered organization with the Canadian Government and operates under Letters Patent. Ms. Winifred indicated that the Bermuda Chaplain’s Group will have licensed roughly about 70 chaplains by the end of May.
